Call if you are coming from Iowa as Leela can give you some short cuts.
If the lane is snow covered and you don't have 4 wheel drive, you may park either by the wooden barn or by the little white house to the south of the temple and then walk up the hill. Another good reason to contact Leela before you come.
Power of Love Temple is a private temple on private property. There are no set temple hours. It is available by appointment (if you do not ignore the donation box) and for regular satsanga (spiritual gathering) usually around the full moon and new moon of each month. Also special events are available to the public. Go to upcoming schedule.
We love to have devotees/visitors come but we want to be contacted first to insure that someone is here to greet you....plus we are private people and request that your honor that. Please honor this and contact Leela before you come -the exception is for our scheduled satsangas.
Contact Leela for specific directions - be sure to tell where you are coming from or call 712-545-3287. Be sure to leave a message on the answering machine.

The Loess Hills are unique in that they are 100% wind blown dust. They are in a narrow strip along the Missouri River - from 3 miles to 10 miles wide and stretching from Sioux City Iowa to the Iowa / Missouri Border. A similar formation is found along the Yansee River in China. This soil is technically called 'ida loam'. When we study about the energy paths in the body the main ones are the ida, pingali and the central one is the shushumna. Ida is the left or female side. The temple is sitting on top of 350 feet of Mother Earth herself with all the land around being sacred. Thus we insist that everyone treat this land with respect.
