Havan at Power of Love Temple

Fire or Agni is one of the five manifestations of life. The fire is lit symbolizing the presence of God. Havan is a sacred ritual that accepts our offerings and sacrifice. The sacred fire acts as a link between man's consciousness and the cosmic consciousness. The fire also has the ability to convert the physical components into the psychic components as offering to the deities presiding over the havan.

Havan is an age-old sacred ritual to propitiate various deities using the sacred fire as a medium for the attainment of various wishes and coons in the materialistic and spiritual worlds.

We do havan to dispel the negative energies from our minds; to destroy negative life patterns; to annihilate negative effects and the evils of others.

Havan also brings high energies into our minds and body thereby paving the way for positive thoughts, actions to enter into our life. This helps in revitalizing the 3 energies in our body and helps in maintaining energy balance.

Havan also helps to propitiated the deities responsible for the attainment of various virtues and prosperity and helps in fulfillment of materialistic and physical needs.

Havan invokes the blessing and grace of God in our lives. It awakens our auspicious energies. It cleanses our body and mind and it cleanses the atmosphere.

Dr. Aleka Dash performed this Vedic ritual as we listened and participated.

When it was over he gave Leela a pot full of sacred water with a coconut on top and said to take it into the temple with the right foot entering first and this would attach move people to the temple.

Page 3 of the Dedication Celebration will show photos of aarti, Leela's talk, lunch and Mahen leading the chanting of the Gita.
